Divine Love Fellowship in Harrisonburg lanches food bank on April 10

HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) – This weekend, a brand new meals financial institution will likely be opening up on the Divine Love Fellowship in Harrisonburg.

Meals has been donated from the Meals Lion in Grottoes, Little Debbie Bakery Retailer in Stuarts Draft, and one other meals financial institution in Verona. Canned and dry meals objects can be found, in addition to baked items, bread, and a few frozen meat.

“God gave me a imaginative and prescient and He needs our church to do a pantry,” stated Stacey Falls-Kumar, who organized the meals financial institution.

Falls-Kumar stated she went to Pastor Ted Hott to clarify her concept, and different members of the church hopped on board to assist.

“Anyone who wants assist, please come by. We don’t discriminate in opposition to anyone,” she stated. “You don’t should go to church right here. You simply should be in want and we need to assist all people.”

The meals financial institution will likely be held each Saturday starting April 10 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 56 S. Carlton St. in Harrisonburg.
