SEC co-Players of the Week – Arkansas forward Jaylin Williams and Vanderbilt guard Scotty Pippen Jr. were named co-Players of the Week. Williams, a 6-foot-10, 240-pound sophomore from Ft. Smith, Ark., averaged 13.0 points, 13.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists in wins at Missouri and over No. 16 Tennessee. He had a career-high 16 rebounds, including 15 on the defensive end against Missouri. Williams drew four charges in the Tennessee game to give him 41 for the season. Pippen, a 6-foot-3, 185-pound junior from Los Angeles, Calif., averaged 26.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 3.5 at No. 2 Auburn and against Texas A&M. The 29 points he scored at Auburn are tied for his third-most points in a game this season. Over his last eight games, Pippen is averaging 6.1 assists per game.
SEC Freshman of the Week – Auburn forward Jabari Smith, a 6-foot-10, 220-pound freshman from Fayetteville, Ga., averaged 29.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists against Vanderbilt and at Florida. He registered a career-high 31 points on 10-of-16 shooting from the field with a career-best seven made 3-pointers against the Commodores. Smith followed that performance up with a game-high 28 points making 10-for-11 from the free throw line against the Gators.
